Esports Legal Review A Quarterly Journal on Esports and Video Games Law


The Esports Legal Review invites submissions of original scholarly work examining legal issues in esports, video games, and interactive entertainment. As a peer-reviewed quarterly journal, we seek rigorous academic research, practitioner perspectives, and policy analysis that advances legal scholarship in this rapidly developing field.

SUBMISSION CATEGORIES

Articles (8,000-12,000 words) Comprehensive scholarly analyses employing rigorous legal methodology, extensive citation to primary and secondary sources, and original theoretical or doctrinal contributions.

Essays (4,000-6,000 words) Shorter analytical pieces addressing emerging issues, recent developments, or provocative arguments that merit focused examination.

Practitioner Notes (2,500-4,000 words) Practice-oriented contributions from legal professionals offering insights from representing clients, structuring transactions, or advising on compliance matters.

Case Comments (2,000-3,500 words) Critical analyses of significant judicial decisions, arbitral awards, or regulatory determinations affecting the esports and gaming industries.

Book Reviews (1,500-2,500 words) Scholarly reviews of recent monographs, edited collections, or practitioner guides relevant to esports and gaming law.

Legislative & Regulatory Updates (1,000-2,000 words) Concise analyses of new legislation, regulations, or policy initiatives with implications for the industry.
